Back in the 14th century, Google search results were the same for everybody. What you saw, I saw. Now you, me, and the guy next door, even the person sitting next to you, all see different search results in Google when we search on the exact keyword phrase. It makes life a bit more difficult if I’m trying to demonstrate your website’s ranking (position on the page) or confirm your Adwords ads are showing. (more…)

When you search on Google, would it be good if the results pages changed as you type?
Google’s search changes does just that. It has already been rolled out in the USA, UK, Russia and France, maybe others, but not here (not in Oz yet!).
Google Instant provides search results pages (SERPS) with every keystroke. You may find exactly what you’re looking for before you even finish typing your query!
Google’s predictive search feature is still there but appears in grey text directly in the search box, so you can stop typing as soon as you see what you’re looking for. (more…)
