OOPS!
So you’ve misplaced your printer installation disk eh? It can happen to anyone. Those pesky disks get lost when you’re moving between business locations, someone files it incorrectly or it was accidently thrown away or placed in the wrong CD case.
Whatever the reason, you don’t need to buy a new printer or even order a new installation disk from the printer manufacturer.
All you need do is download the latest drivers from the manufacturer’s website. Look on your printer, you should be able to see the manufacturer’s name and printer type displayed prominently somewhere.
Say you have a Hewlett-Packard (HP) printer, you can access their website (www.hp.com) and at the bottom of the page under the heading “Customer Support” click on “Software and Drivers Download” and then follow the instructions.
If you do want a copy of the disk just in case, you can still contact the manufacturer to have one sent to you.
